This rugged, historical-looking structure holds its identity close, standing like an enigma at the edge of Rock Creek Canyon. Out of place in a city park and without companions of its kind, it carries the spirit of the early West—haunting in presence, yet irresistibly attractive to my lens. Local children whisper that it’s haunted, but I found it to be hauntingly beautiful in its own right, a relic worthy of preservation in black and white.
