Want a closer look at, “Kitsch or Chic?”
A series of floral portraits captured against pure black backgrounds, illuminated to reveal texture, curve, and velvet-soft detail. Detached from nature, each bloom becomes an object of design — refined, glamorous, and almost fashion-forward. This approach, while common in macro photography, is new territory for me. There’s a tension here I’m intentionally leaning into: luxury versus ornament, simplicity versus excess. I’m curious where viewers fall on the spectrum.
